Our Team
Francesca McDonnell, Psychotherapist
Francesca McDonnell is a BACP registered psychodynamic psychotherapist. Her focus is on the present dynamic in the therapeutic relationship and how the past may have contributed to your current way of being in the world. Her way of working tends not to be prescriptive, steering away from simplified explanations of your unique experience. The aim is to build a trusting and safe relationship where a more complete picture of yourself becomes clear and accessible.
In addition to private practice, she is a counsellor at a London university and has valuable experience working with young adults adapting to a transitional period of life. She has also written for the BACP’s University & College Counselling journal demonstrating her practice in this area. Previously, she worked as a mentor in the women’s and youth service of a charity, both individually and in groups. She is continuing her professional development working with young people by undertaking an additional qualification to work with adolescents from 11+.
Francesca offers one or two full assessment sessions where you can both decide whether working together will be the best way forward. Please email directly to book a brief introductory call and ask any questions you may have about this process.
